Avion Consulting History

Since its founding by two friends in 2014, Avion Consulting has sought to be a firm that embodies the standards and values we seek to promote and develop within the individuals, leaders, and organizations we serve. Having worked together for many years, Avion’s founding Partners John Gates and Steve Williams set out to build their own firm that would attract and engage like-minded consultants, intrinsically driven to serve clients by bringing out the best in their people. They landed on the name Avion, which not only signified the heights they hoped to reach, but also honored their shared friend and mentor Paul Gaske, whose family home in San Diego was on Avion Way.

Today, Avion Consulting consists of a diverse and growing group of innovative, passionate, and devoted professionals united in a shared mission to serve our clients and their people. We are dedicated to the success of our clients, and partner with each of them to provide customized solutions and services to address their unique challenges. For the past decade, we have created many new friendships as our staff and client base has grown, and our name has served as a constant reminder of our beloved mentor and friend. Paul helped us believe in our own potential, and Avion continues to honor his memory with our shared purpose as a firm – to unleash the potential in people.
