Gene Kuo is a Principal with Avion Consulting. Gene is a leadership development innovator who believes in a multi-modal approach to L&D that both recognizes people's individual learning needs and meshes with their complex, time-crunched day-to-day realities. Marrying a strength in structured problem-solving with experience in developing centered, trust-based leaders, Gene helps clients build and deliver human development offerings that harness scale and maximize ROI while still being personalized and human.

Though comfortable supporting individuals, Gene Is especially at home working with teams and across cohorts at pivotal moments of need such as onboarding, role transitions, and during major organizational changes. He specializes in teaching and developing power skills such as problem-solving, structured/analytical thinking, communication, relationship building, and people leadership.

Gene has over 15 years of experience in learning and development, preceded by 8 years of experience in management consulting. Most recently, Gene served as Director of Learning for McKinsey & Company, where he led the global L&D strategy supporting over 10,000 client service professionals.

Gene has an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.A. in Economics from Trinity University (San Antonio, TX).
